Located just off the A614, our Main Car Park provides convenient access to Rufford Abbey’s iconic ruins, courtyards, gardens, playground, Abbey Tales exhibit, and catering facilities.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Rufford Abbey Country Park is very popular during school holidays and weekends, so we recommend arriving early to avoid waiting for parking spaces.
Please be aware that our car park has limited capacity, and on busy days, it may occasionally be full. During peak times (11:30 AM to 2:00 PM), our team works diligently to manage the car park and make spaces available as quickly as possible.
If you wish to leave the car park after the park has closed, you can still exit at any time via the alligator tooth ramp. Please note that overnight parking and camping in the car park are strictly prohibited.
No vehicles are exempt from the ANPR parking.
BLUE BADGE HOLDERS
We offer a number of designated parking spaces for Blue Badge holders in both the Main Car Park and the Mill Car Park. These spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure convenient access for visitors with mobility needs.
Blue Badge holders must pay parking charges unless they register for a free pass. To register, please speak to a team member in Visitor Information and bring your Blue Badge ID for verification.
